Trip Summary

Below, the map shows our routes for our trip to and from Wichita. The numbers indicate the approximate location of where we spent each night.

This was our first summer trip to Wichita in our Monaco motorhome and the first time — in some time — that we traveled on I-80. Even though this started as a routine RV road trip with no unusual expectations, we ended up having some exciting times and some really fun times. Think very exciting weather, fireworks and puppies.

The puppies were very cute and it was difficult going back to California without taking one home with us. Even though we parked our motorhome in an RV campground, Jim and Donna made us feel very much at home when we visited them.

After leaving Wichita and heading for home, we had a bit of excitement in Wyoming. Our trip ended at an RV campground in the California Delta as we arrived just in time for the monthly gathering of our RV club.
