Today was just like those that have gone before here in Wichita, we got around late once again. I read the paper and watched a little bit of TV. Then Kay and I went to a local sandwich shop to get a carry-out lunch. After lunch, it was off to a pet supply store to shop for our furry friends. We bought several bags of dry dog food for Pete. We also bought Pete a couple of toys and some bags of meat flavored dog biscuits for him and Sophia.

Pete is usually a pretty good dog

I drove over to see Lois and George as well as to deliver the goodies for Pete. Kay had brought her card making equipment and rubber stamps. This was so she and her mother could have a craft making session together. I went over to pick up my mother at her place to bring her back to visit with Kay and Lois. George and I talked for awhile and watched TV.

When My mother began to tire, I took her back home and I returned to Kay's parents house. We were going to take Kay's folks out to eat at one of George's favorite restaurants. We went to Stroud's for "Pan fried chicken." Stroud's has two slogans that go as follows: "Pan fried chicken - it takes longer, but it tastes better" and " We choke our own chickens." The latter slogan can be had on the back of a Stroud's T-shirt.

The meal, at this restaurant, is served family style where bowls of chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy are placed on the table. I can attest to the fact that the food is very good. That is why this is a very popular place to eat in Wichita.
