We slept -in late today, I didn’t wake up until 9:00. It was good not to have to be somewhere. After getting around I called my mother to let her know we were coming over.

Kay and I visited with my mother for a while. Then we took her out to eat, she wanted to have a good hamburger. So, we took her to the local neighborhood Burger King. My mother really likes hamburgers. We ate in the car and while there, a crow landed on the roof of the car. I threw a French fry out the window and the crow swooped down and snatched up the food. It was only a few seconds before a flock of noisy crows arrived to demand a share. My mother enjoyed watching the birds up close. I tossed out more fries and a feeding frenzy ensued. There must have been 25 or 30 big black crows next to our car.

We had planned to take Kay’s mother shopping at the Hobby Lobby. So, I asked my mother if she would like to go along. From the Burger King we drove over to pick up Lois and away we went to look for craft supplies. Lois has taken up drawing as a hobby so she bought some supplies and Kay bought her an easel. My mother bought some crocheting tools and some butterfly stickers. After shopping for a while, I took my mother home and from her place we then took Lois home.

We went in to see George and played with Pete. He has a new plaything, it is a red spot. George has a laser pointer that he shines on the floor. Pete will try to catch the red spot. I thought it was an interesting way for George to exercise his dog without having to get out of his chair. Pete seems to never tire of chasing the red spot.

I found it interesting that he has figured out the source of the red spot. One time after using the laser pointer to play with Pete, I laid the pointer down on the coffee table. Pete went right over to the table and "Nosed" the laser pointer toward me. He then put one paw on the pointer and looked me in the eye as if to say he wanted to play with the red spot some more.

While George and I played with Pete, Kay and Lois played Tri-Ominos most of the afternoon. George and I also watched Tiger Woods win a big golf tournament.

When we came back to Jim and Donna’s place, Donna was home by herself. Jim and Steven were still at the bowling alley - oops, that should be the bowling center. So we settled in and snacked on leftovers and talked to Donna. We also watched TV until Jim and Steven came home just before midnight.
