Heading for Home

When the morning came around, the sky was cloudy and getting darker as the time wore on. By the time our motorhome pulled out onto the freeway there were a few sprinkles hitting the windshield. Whadda ya know, rain in Oregon. As we headed south the precipitation increased until it was really raining. Thankfully this was the first rain we had during our stay in Oregon.

We began the last leg of our trip with light rain

The rain continued for the next 40 miles, however, the rain stopped just after entering California. The clouds were with us for awhile, but even they went away by the afternoon. The sky was still a little overcast when time for our midday meal rolled around.

The rain got heavier as we got closer to California

The rain stopped after entering California, however, Mt. Shasta was cloud covered

For lunch, a roadside rest area was picked for us to get a rest from the road and to have lunch. In the parking area was what liked like a fun car on a trailer. It was a bright yellow, old Ford race car. I had to get a close-up look. It looked as if the old vehicle had been restored to original specs.

This looks as if it might be a fun car to drive

With lunch over, we left the rest stop behind and continued our trip home. This would be the last leg as I turned the motorhome onto the freeway that would get us close to home.

Even though I could have continued to travel, it felt good to get home. We had completed yet another RV Fun Trip.
