The weather was cool and pleasant again last night making it very easy to sleep. Our plans for the day were to go shopping. We picked up my mother and we headed for the "Hobby Lobby." My mother put a basket of sea shells and a hot glue gun in her shopping cart. Kay collected a few items. It was fun just to see all the hobby materials and craft supplies that are available.

We went to the "Hometown Buffet" for lunch. My mother always likes to eat there. We had a good meal and a nice conversation. After lunch we headed for the pet supply store. We were there to shop for Pete, but we looked at some of the critters before we picked out Pete’s goodies. My mother enjoyed seeing all the birds while I liked the ferrets. When we got around to picking out stuff for Pete; we bought him 100 pounds of dry dog food, a big box of "Milkbone" dog biscuits, and some new doggy toys. Pete always makes it very obvious that he really likes the things we get for him. Kay took Pete for a short walk in front of the house. I spent some time checking my e-mail at my workplace at Varian in California.

From playing with Pete, we went over to the ball park to watch Steven play baseball. The game went a full seven innings this evening. Steven made a hit that allowed two of his team members to score. He made a point when he stole home. After the game we spent the rest of the evening watching a movie on television.
