Another FMCA Convention
Pomona, California
March 2006
Summary

Trip Summary

This would be our seventh FMCA convention and the first time we traveled alone to meet friends at the convention. There were a total of five motorhomes from our RV club converging from different directions with some arriving on different days.

Having been to previous conventions, I would find things to do other than the usual seminars. One activity was to collect parts for projects. During one of those forays I would get to see how a particular brand of tow-bar is repaired. I found it very interesting to see a badly damaged tow-bar returned to like-new condition.

The entertainment was familiar in that we would get to see one celebrity we've seen before. Another entertainer we saw for the first time, however, we were very familiar with the music as it was old favorites from our younger years. I would see the largest, most detailed model railroad I ever seen.

Our trip home took us past a place I've seen before where a movie icon lost his life. Then for our last night on the road our small caravan stayed at a very nice RV campground that is part of a county park. We can thank Kevin and Tina for introducing us to this RV park during one of our RV club rallies.

All in all, this trip was a restful interesting trek to Pomona that resulted in another RV Fun Trip.
